Swaggers into Spring Eighth International ‘Flugery Lvova’ Jazz and Folk Music Festival, May 1-3, Inner Courtyard,
Lviv City Council Building Spring in Lviv means Jazz with the annual Flugery Lvova, which brings jazz enthusiasts from across the region together in the stylish surrounds of Lviv City Council’s inner courtyard. This will be the eighth annual Flugery festival, with highlights including the ethno jazz feast on Sunday May 3. Sunday morning will begin with the traditional ‘Awakening with Mertvy Piven’, with the group celebrating 20 years in the jazz world, and they will be performing alongside Viktor Morozov and Shockolad. Organised by the city’s ever-innovative Dzyga Art Union, the festival will feature a long list of international performers including the Polish-Lithuanian group Daga Dana, while Lviv’s very own Mark Tokar, Yuriy Yaremchuk, Martin Tverdun and Igor Gnydin will present a new masterpiece. And best of all, entry to the festival is absolutely free!
