What Does Lviv Today Mean to Lviv?

Issue 100, April 2017.
The Story of Lviv Today Hello for the 100th time! You may have noticed the “Our 100th Issue” graphic on the cover of this month’s magazine. There’s a story that goes with that… Who’d have thought back in May 2008 when Lviv Today was started that 100 months later we would still be here? Turning 100 is a big event in anybody’s life – and it’s no different for this magazine. We’re a little larger than before – not just around the waist – but we’ve gone from 52 to 64 crammed, colourful pages, with the website now taking up the overflow each month! Apart from that, not much has changed – we are still paddling like mad to keep up with all of the cultural, culinary, artistic, sporting, and business events that this great city has to offer each month! We called the magazine Lviv Today when it was launched as we anticipated most of our readers to live in this city. But now we have readers across Europe – heaps of them! – and even have readers as far away as Canada and Australia! We’ve had a brilliant time, met loads of lovely Leopolitans, and seen the city experience some amazing things over the last 100 months. We are truly grateful to everyone that has contributed articles, columns, and photographs. We also want to thank the many people that have worked for Lviv Today over the years and right up to the present issue. We have many loyal readers – and advertisers too (!) – and we want to thank you very much for your support. We still enjoy putting the magazine together and sharing with you all of the amazing things that this city has to offer. We hope you continue to enjoy reading it and here’s to the next 100!
