Legendary Coffee Festival Returns

Lviv has long been known as a city famous for its coffee – ever since Lviv region’s own Yuri Kulchytsky founded the Vienna’s famed first coffeehouse back in 1683. The city has been a regional coffee capital since its Habsburg days, famed at once for the strength of our brews as it is for the cosiness of our cafes and coffeehouses. Our annual Coffee Festival has been running since 2007 and is designed to celebrate the city’s coffee culture as well as to showcase our incredible brews. It has become one of Lviv’s most popular festivals as Leopolitans and guests of the city flock to the numerous festivities and fun events that celebrate our popular caffeinated treat.

Lviv Acoustic Fest 2016

This autumn Lviv will be plunged into a swirl of acoustic rock when the greatest acoustic festival in Ukraine – Lviv Acoustic Fest 2016 – rolls into town the weekend of October 8-9. The festival was established in 2013 to preserve and promote acoustic music and is designed to offer Leopolitans and guests of the city a wholesome, entertaining weekend of outstanding music.

Sergei Babkin in Concert

The intriguing and multitalented Sergei Babkin, best known for founding the popular Ukrainian group 5nizza, will bring his special Kvartyrnyk concert program to Lviv on September 22nd. After 5nizza – one of Ukraine’s wittiest and funkiest bands – broke up, Babkin went out on his own and has managed to combine successfully a career in theatre with his passion for writing music and poetry. Since 2004, he has produced 9 acclaimed albums and appeared in 4 feature films.

Lviv’s Book Fair & Literature Festival

The Lviv International Book Fair & Literature Festival – aka the Publishers’ Forum – will be back for the 23rd time and this year brings together over 300 publishing houses and 100 writers from all over the world to present their newest books and re-introduce classical literary masterpieces to Leopolitans and guests of the city. This year’s special guest is Lithuanian poet, scholar, and writer Tomas Venclova – one of the five founding members of the Lithuanian Helsinki Group.

International Tattoo Fest 2016

The Lviv Tattoo Fest – one of the biggest, most significant, and utterly awesome in Ukraine’s tattoo world – will return to the Lviv Art Palace this September 30 – October 2. This year the organisers have gone all out to bring Leopolitans and guests of the city more amazing attractions, alternative entertainers, inspirational exhibitions, and rocking musical acts to this ever-expanding celebration of body art.

Lviv IT Arena Conference

Arena Lviv will play host to programmers, developers, start-ups, and IT company representatives from September 30 – October 2 for the most remarkable IT event in Ukraine: Lviv IT Arena 2016. About 1200 IT professionals and more than 100 keynote speakers from across Ukraine and around the world will visit the conference this year. The event will discuss the latest IT trends in 3 thematic streams: Product, Technology, and Business. The conference will also feature the latest hardware technologies, including 3D printing, robotics, drones, wearable technologies, augmented & virtual reality, IT solutions, and smart homes and cities.
