The largest youth conference of autumn – YouthSpeak Forum Lviv – will take place at Ukrainian Catholic University on 27 October. For the last three years, AIESEC has held the All-Ukrainian Forum in Kyiv – an event designed to have youth meet with NGOs, government officials, and business representatives – and they are bringing it to the Western Ukrainian capital for the first time! YouthSpeak is a global project designed to identify current trends and key issues that youth face in employment, self-realisation, and community development.

The Hardkiss to Present New Album

Leopolitan music lovers and guests of the city are in for a triple delight when iconic Ukrainian progressive-pop group The Hardkiss presents their latest album, Zalizna Lastivka (Iron Sparrow), in three concerts at Lviv’s Malevich Night Club this month.

Egor Grushin Presents ‘Ritorno’

These are tough times for solo pianists because there are so many of them; with tens of thousands of grand pianos sold each year, more prospective star pianists are born every day. But some of those pianists are truly unforgettable. On 7 November, Leopolitan music lovers and guests of the city will have the wonderful opportunity to enjoy a concert by pianist virtuoso Egor Grushin, who will present his new album ‘Ritorno’.

Khrystyna Soloviy Set to Wow Lviv

Lviv’s wonderfully talented Khrystyna Soloviy will return home for a concert at Lviv’s beautiful Opera & Ballet Theatre on 7 November. The folk singer was born just outside the city in Drohobych to a family of choral conductors before moving to Lviv to head the Lemkovyna choir for three years. In 2015, she took part in Ukraine’s version of The Voice (Holos Krayiny), where she teamed with Okean Elzy frontman – and fellow Leopolitan – Svyatoslav Vakarchuk to reach the semifinals. That same year she released her debut album, Zhyva Voda (Living Water), which became a huge success in Ukraine.

The Extravagant Shafa by Freedom Ballet

Onuka Presents Mozaika

Onuka is one of the most respected acts in Ukraine’s electronic scene. Created by avant-garde electronic artists Evgeni Filatov (aka The Maneken) and Nata Zhyzhchenko, the group organically combines traditional ethnic motifs with modern electronic sound. Leopolitan music fans and guests of the city won’t want to miss Onuka on 14 November when the group presents their latest album, Mozaika (Mosaic), here in Lviv.

Poshlaya Molly Coming to Lviv

Greet the main rebels of the Ukrainian rock stage – Poshlaya Molly – at Lviv’s Malevich Night Club on 27 October. The guys have literally beaten all the records for speed! They released their first album, ‘8 Ways to Quit Masturbating’ in February 2017 and are already attracting sell-out crowds to their crazy, high-energy shows.

Project Management Day

Project Management Day – Lviv’s biggest conference dedicated to IT project management – will take place at Arena Lviv on 10 November. Nearly 500 IT project managers from all over the country are expected to participate in the event and more than 50 speakers will share their experiences with them.

Ukrainian Bandurist Chorus in Concert

Lviv’s spectacular Opera & Ballet Theatre will host a very special concert by the T. Shevchenko Ukrainian Bandurist Chorus of North America, a semi-professional male choir that accompanies the multi-stringed Ukrainian folk instrument known as the bandura.

Ivo Bobul in Concert

Famed Ukrainian crooner Ivo Bobul will entertain Leopolitan music lovers and guests of the city at Lviv’s cozy M. Zankovetska Drama Theatre on 20 October. The People’s Artist of Ukraine started as a restaurant singer before becoming part of the VIA Chernivtsi Philharmonic in 1980.
