Leopolis Grand Prix is Back!

Lviv’s long and proud motoring heritage dates back to 1930 – before the city was even part of Ukraine – when an international Grand Prix was held in the city. That’s why the ZAZ-Kozak Zaporozhets automobile club decided to bring back the Leopolis Grand Prix festival – an international festival of vintage cars and races.

Flugery Lvova Jazz Music Festival

Lviv City Day

Lviv City Day is the official celebration to mark the city’s founding. This year Lviv is celebrating its 763rd birthday on the first weekend of May! This year’s program features more than 100 events and activities, including parades, fairs, street entertainment, sports contests, free tours, and live music. Some of Lviv’s museums will also be offering free admission.

As sustainability becomes an ever more accepted idea within organisations and communities across the nation, Zero Waste events are spreading. Additionally, the steady expansion of recycling and commercial composting infrastructure makes it possible to offer recycling and food composting at events in many locations.

Enigmatic Sharon Kovacs in Concert

Lviv’s Malevich Night Club will play host to Sharon Kovacs, the shaven-headed chanteuse with the voice of a soul legend, on 15 April. The Netherlands might be famous for tulips, van Gogh, and Gouda cheese – but great soul singers? Well, Kovacs is about to change expectations.

Lviv Ultra Trail

All Leopolitan runners and guests of the city are welcome to join the Lviv Ultra Trail running event on 11 May. Trail running combines running up steep gradients, hiking, and running on “any unpaved surface”. It’s similar to both mountain and fell running (aka hill running).

Lviv Open Cup Motocross

Lviv’s legendary Mayorivka racetrack will play host to the Lviv Open Cup motocross competition on 12 May. Renowned as one of Europe’s most difficult tracks, the Mayorivka event is expected to draw competitors from across Ukraine and neighbouring countries.

Lviv Model UN 2019

Lviv’s Bank Hotel is set to play host to this year’s Lviv Model UN conference from 18-21 April. The simulation allows participants to learn about world affairs, improve conflict resolution capabilities, and develop communication skills through role-play. Organisers believe the event will educate participants informally through team-building and workshops, so there are plenty of practical benefits to taking part.
