Controversial Lviv-born director Roman Viktyuk returns to his home town for a double bill of the old and new. ‘King Harlequin’ is a typically avant-garde Viktyuk interpretation of Rudolph Lotar’s about court intrigue, featuring the director’s calling cards of revisionism, unique staging and overt sexuality.

The Lviv-based charitable organisation, Salus Foundation, as part of the World Aids Day initiative, is working with a number of other organisations (Secours Catholique Caritas France, Rust, and Metamorphoses), and will be organising an artistic competition, inviting people to submit creative umbrellas, dedicated to the World ANTIAIDS day and AIDS related issues in general.

This November sees the launch of the new ‘Strength of the Nation’ festival in Lviv, in which participants are invited to flex their muscles and compete in a range of strength and power events. International theatre festival «Drabyna» presents new project “New writing with Royal Court”

This year’s Drabyna theatre festival will welcome the London based Royal Court Theatre who will be working with Ukrainian and Georgian playwrights, helping to write and stage contemporary plays as part of a British Council creative project “New Writing with Royal Court”.
