Christmas Gift from Lviv’s Hotels & Restaurants
“Winter in Lviv 2010” project, discounts in participating hotels and restaurants across the city on 19 December
As part of the ongoing efforts to make Lviv as marketable as possible as a Christmas tourism destination, the everactive Lviv City Council has joined forces with the Lviv Guild of Restaurant Owners and participating hotels to produce a one-off event that will provide Lviv citizens and visitors to the city with the chance to indulge themselves in some of West Ukraine’s most celebrated venues at heavily discounted rates for one day only! On December 19 and only on December 19 everyone will be able to enjoy halfprice discounts on a wide variety of goods and services at participating venues. The promotion has been timed to coincide with celebrations to mark St. Nicholas Day, a holiday that is widely honoured throughout traditional West Ukrainian society. This ‘Half-Price Weekend’ fun promises to be the first in a long line of inter-active tourism-focused promotions set to be launched in the coming weeks as part of the Lviv City Council’s ‘Winter in Lviv 2010’ project, which hopes to make Lviv more attractive to festive season
holidaymakers. Lviv is one of Eastern Europe’s most up and- coming city break destinations, with a number of international carriers adding the West Ukrainian capital to their flight schedules in 2009 and more expected once the massive renovation project planned for Lviv Airport reaches a conclusion in late 2011.
