Incredible "Dolls World" in Lviv Art Palace
On October 13-22, 2009 in Lviv Art Palace will take place First Lviv Festival “Dolls World”
As main aim of the festival organizers of the event “Informational-creative center “365”” state popularization of the concept of authors dolls, development of the doll culture and creativity, presenting talented artists of the branch. For the present day, there are many different definitions to the concept of “doll” as well as various techniques of doll- making. In the world dolls are extremely popular and are represented in many creative, social, commercial activities. In some countries there are museums of dolls, which conduct various international exhibitions, festivals and auctions, dedicated to this toy. This year Lviv will host Doll Festival for the first time. In the festival will participate more then 50 doll-makers from whole Ukraine and foreign countries. To the audience will be presented wide spectrum of doll-making techniques and tendencies – from ethnical traditional Ukrainian dolls till Teddy bears, straw angels, monumental dolls-monsters, dolls-talismans, decoration dolls etc.
During the Festival will be arranged numerous master-classes, literary marathons for children and grown-ups, photo-exhibition dedicated to dolls.

During the ceremony will be shown puppets parade, carnival dance show and many other joyful surprises.

During Festival days, visitors will have wonderful opportunities to admire Exhibition of art photography «Doll»; and children will try themselves in the Literary marathon «Story of one doll»; while grown-ups will do their best in Literary marathon for grown-ups «Nostalgia for Doll».
