Magical Mystery Tour Train Arrives!
Lviv’s booming tourism scene received a further boost on December 29 when the city unveiled its latest attraction – a brightly coloured tour train offering guided excursions or simply fun transport about the historic city centre. The bright yellow and red petrol-driven locomotive can carry up to 56 passengers, with head-phones providing multi-lingual tourist information in English, Polish German and other European languages. Tours last approximately one and a half hours and can be joined at any one of a number of routes along the tour including Rynok Square, Lycharkiv Cemetery, the Shevchenko monument on Svobody Avenue and the city’s main railway station. This new initiative is the first of its kind in Ukraine and will add to Lviv’s reputation as the Ukrainian city most committed to importing modern international service standards and tourist attractions
