On August 17 Lviv marked the 645th anniversary of the city’s Armenian cathedral. Festivities including a solemn Liturgy were led by the Head of the Ukrainian Eparchy of the Armenian Apostolic Church Archbishop Grigoris.
Guests from across Ukraine and beyond were entertained by an Armenian choir ensemble from Crimea. Lviv Mayor Andriy Sadoviy was present at proceedings, and confessed that he often comes to the city’s Armenian    Cathedral late at night to reflect on important issues. “The Armenian Cathedral is cherished by everyone in Lviv,” the Mayor commented.
