Lviv Today and Picasso celebrate Halloween
Halloween has proved a popular holiday in post-independence Ukraine, but this year’s festivities were curtailed by a flu epidemic centred in West Ukraine which forced events to be cancelled across the region. Lviv’s party people were not be sidetracked by a mere global pandemic, however, and rescheduled this year’s Halloween party for late November. Lviv’s belated Halloween 2009 party was hosted by Picasso Club and Lviv Today magazine. It proved a carnival with more than its quota of vampires and ghosts who celebrated in truly monstrous fashion and without a flu mask in sight. Now that really is scary!
